What are embroidery files and where do you get them?

I often get asked where I get my embroidery files from. A few years back I found a great web site called Creative Fabrica. I originally found it for sublimation and designs I could use with my silhouette cameo.

I've not even had my embroidery machine a year and this web site has provided me with 95% of my designs.

I have a Brother embroidery machine so I download PES designs, most files can be downloaded for most machine files.  

In the hoop stuffies (ITH)

Last month while looking on the Creative Fabrica web site to see what new embroidery designs had been added I noticed an ‘In the hoop stuffie’. I had no idea what these were but was so intrigued I was willing to give it a go. 

I found one In the hoop design, ok well I found a fair few but the mouse In the hoop stuffie  just leapt off the screen at me. I eagerly downloaded it and fired up my embroidery machine. I never normally bother with instructions but as this was something new I downloaded them and was surprised at how easy they were to follow. 

Following the step by step guide you gradually layer up the design and you can always add a name before the final stitch if you wanted to. 

Anyone with an embroidery machine check out Creative Fabrica's embroidery designs, I have a monthly subscription and because of the huge range of the designs and the licence that comes with the subscription meaning you can sell the physical items you have made it is well worth the money. 

In a very short space of time the mouse was stitched out and all I had to do was stuff it and hand stitch it closed. I think you will agree it's amazing!
